SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AT NAT'INOV
« We don?t inherit the Earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children. »
Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
Sustainable development is a philosophy at Nat'Inov. It comes from a wish of the directors to protect natural resources and value local resources. This wish is relected in the choice of location. Nat'Inov is established in a rural area with 700 inhabitants and takes part in the municipality's local development.
SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN PRODUCTION
To produce its extracts Nat?Inov always chooses to use solvents that pollute as little as possible. In our factory we use only solvents that can be used in organic farming namely water, ethanol and glycerine. To go even further for environment-friendly extraction we have developed a subcritical water tool (Blue extraction®) on an industrial scale that enables to eliminate completely the use of alcohol as a solvent.
OUR ACTIONS IN CONCRETE TERMS
- For the manufacturing of extracts we favour supplies of raw materials produced locally.
- We work in partnership with producers by setting up farming contracts that give them a secure income.
- We set up waste recovery channels for certain industries. These co-products that are burdensome for our partners are recycled in the manufacturing of extracts.
- All of the vegetal materials used during extraction are composted and used by local farmers to fertilise their soils.
- We have set up a water purification system to treat waste through a natural lagooning and reed filter procedure. The treated water is then used to irrigate neighbouring farms.
Sustainable development is an integral part of our developments thus providing you with differentiating elements to communicate for your projects.
